CONTAINERS

All cargoes have individual or specific transportation requirements. The several types of containers used are specially geared to the requirements of different types of cargoes.

It is your responsibility to ensure, that transportation requirements of your cargo are fulfilled, i.e. making sure the goods are packed and stowed in the right container, economically and safely. Fastway can be of assistance with more useful information.

The dimensions of the single containers may be slightly different, depending on the shipping line and container series used. The maximum payload furthermore depends also on road regulation at the Country of Origin and Destination.

Due to the fact that containers were "born" in North America the internal dimensions of standard containers are not the most suitable for europallets (800x1200 mm) widly used in road-transport over Europe. Usual dimensions of container pallets are 1050x1050 mm.
